Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Patiala. The ideal candidate will have an MBBS degree and a strong passion for mental health. This full-time role requires working from the office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Assessment: Conduct detailed evaluations of patients to understand their mental health conditions and needs. This involves taking medical histories and performing psychological tests.

- Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Develop appropriate treatment plans based on assessments to address various mental health issues, ensuring personalized care for each patient.

- Therapy Sessions: Provide individual or group therapy sessions, using evidence-based methods to help patients manage and cope with their conditions effectively.

- Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, adjusting treatments as necessary based on patient progress and side effects.

- Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, ensuring all aspects of their well-being are addressed.

- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and changes in patient status to support ongoing care.

Required Skills and Expectations:

Candidates should possess strong communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues effectively. Compassion and empathy are essential traits for understanding patients’ experiences. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is expected. Candidates should also have a clear understanding of current psychiatric practices and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development. Familiarity with electronic health record systems will be an advantage.
