Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a wide range of ocular conditions.

Carry out surgical procedures, including cataract surgeries, with a focus on patient safety and outcomes.

Provide post-operative care and manage complications effectively.

Collaborate with the hospital team to implement innovative treatment plans and patient care protocols.

Participate in community outreach programs, including eye screening camps.

Train and mentor junior medical staff and assist in skill-building initiatives.

Stay updated with the latest developments in ophthalmology and integrate them into practice.

Qualifications:

MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as an ophthalmologist.

Proficiency in cataract surgeries (phacoemulsification preferred) and other ophthalmic procedures.

Strong diagnostic skills with experience in managing a variety of ocular diseases.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In 1925 Dr Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon General Hospital and convalescent home is established in1925
This institution is established in 1925 by Dr Bhausaheb Sardesai for the rural and needy people. He started to serve the society, to see this honorable work Mahatma Gandhiji visited this hospital in 1946 and expressed his great pleasure.
Talegaon General Hospital &Convalescent Home is working in a medical field for the betterment of the patients in Talegaon and in the vicinity of Maval Taluka for last 80years for eye diseases but Dr Bhausaheb Sardesai understood the need of people and started T.B Sanatorium, as the environment of Talegaon is good for the T.B patients to recover early .Within very small period this T.B sanatorium is famous all over the world.
Talegon General Hospital and convalescent home is not only for T.B. patients and eye patients but TGH&CH provided general services to the every level of the society.
In 1995 Talegaon General Hospital collaborate with MIMER and established Medical College and 500 bedded hospital. After that Talegaon General Hospital and convalescent Homes management started Training school of Nursing and Eye Specialty Hopital.
Now Talegaon General Hospital started a new Naturopathy project for needy people.
