Job Title: Commie 3 (Junior Chef)
Key Responsibilities:
Ingredient Preparation: Help with basic prep work, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients for dishes as instructed by senior chefs.
Assisting with Cooking: Support the kitchen team during service by assisting in cooking and assembling basic dishes. This might include tasks like frying, grilling, or basic sautéing under guidance.
Cleaning and Organizing: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring that cooking tools and utensils are properly cleaned and stored.
Stocking and Storage: Help with storing ingredients, rotating stock, and ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored according to health and safety standards.
Following Recipes: Assist in following standard recipes and procedures to ensure consistency and high quality of the food.
Supporting Senior Kitchen Staff: Work under the guidance of more experienced chefs (such as Commie 1 or Chef de Parties) to learn new techniques and kitchen operations.
Maintaining Health and Safety Standards: Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, ensuring that food is handled and prepared safely at all times.
