Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and review CNC programs: Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for precision machining based on engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Set up and operate CNC machines: Set up machines including tooling, fixtures, and workpieces, and operate them to produce accurate and high-quality parts.
3. Monitor machine performance: Keep track of machine operations, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot any issues to ensure smooth production processes.
4. Conduct quality checks: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
5. Collaborate with team members: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and other team members to improve processes, address challenges, and meet production goals.
Required Skills and Expectations:
1. Proficiency in CNC programming: Strong knowledge and experience in programming CNC machines using software such as Mastercam or G-code.
2. Technical expertise: Understanding of machining processes, tools, materials, and reading engineering drawings to create accurate programs.
3. Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to optimize machining operations.
