Key Responsibilities:
Create 3D CNC machining programs using Mastercam for milling and complex surfaces.
Develop multi-surface and complex toolpaths for precision components.
Import and interpret 3D CAD models from design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Generate efficient cutting strategies for molds, dies, and precision parts.
Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and machining parameters.
Optimize programs to reduce cycle time and improve surface finish.
Support CNC operators during program setup and machine troubleshooting.
Work with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
Modify and improve existing programs for better productivity.
Create setup sheets and machining documentation for production.
Conduct toolpath verification and backplot analysis before production.
Collaborate with design, tooling, and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
Maintain program libraries and machining templates.
Assist in fixture and jig design for complex parts.
Troubleshoot machining problems related to toolpaths or programming.
Monitor machining performance and recommend improvements.
Ensure programs meet quality and tolerance requirements.
Maintain compliance with manufacturing safety standards.
Provide technical guidance to CNC machinists and junior programmers.
