the duties and responsibilities of a cnc machine operator include:

reading and interpreting blueprints and design models

inputting the design specifications into the cnc machine

setting up and operating the cnc machine and equipment, including calibrating the machine to the task at hand

observing cnc machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions

adjusting machine settings to keep parts within needed tolerances

inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers

maintaining cleanliness of the work area and ensuring the machine is cleaned after each use

performing routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages

reporting any issues to the supervisor so they can be fixed immediately
