Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer cum Operator to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision components and ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and modify CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS / Calypso / Mitutoyo MCOSMOS (as applicable).

Set up and operate CMM machines to inspect first articles, in-process, and final components.

Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements.

Analyze inspection results and generate detailed reports.

Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM machines.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve any inspection-related issues.

Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with standards.

Train and support junior inspectors/operators when required.

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience as a CMM Programmer and Operator.

Strong knowledge of metrology, quality systems, and GD&T.

Hands-on experience with CMM software (mention which one specifically if required).

Familiarity with other inspection tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.

Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

Experience in aerospace/automotive/precision engineering industries.

Basic knowledge of CNC machining or other manufacturing processes.

Exposure to statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement tools
