a cmm engineer's job description includes operating and programming coordinate measuring machines (cmms) to inspect manufactured parts, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards. key responsibilities involve reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up and maintaining cmm equipment, performing dimensional inspections, analyzing data, and documenting results in reports. they collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

*key responsibilities:

ramming and operation: write, modify, and execute programs for cmm machines to measure components accurately. set up and operate cmm equipment for inspections.

ity assurance: perform dimensional inspections and verify that parts comply with blueprints and specifications.

tenance and calibration: maintain cmm equipment, perform routine maintenance, and conduct calibration checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

4..data and reporting: analyze measurement data and document findings in inspection reports. report any discrepancies or non conformities to the relevant teams.

aboration and problem-solving: work with production, engineering, and quality control teams to resolve measurement-related issues and improve quality processes.

mentation: prepare reports, such as ppap submissions, and assist with other quality documentation as needed.
