develop robust, fabrication-friendly structural concepts for modular skids.
optimize layouts considering modularization, lifting, transport, access, and maintenance needs.
engineering calculations & analysis:
perform structural analysis for static, dynamic, wind, seismic, and lifting conditions using software like , rfem, or sap2000.
ensure structures are designed to handle loads from piping, equipment, electrical trays, and instruments.
collaborate with process, piping, and electrical/instrumentation teams to finalize skid layout.
ensure skid base and structural members accommodate penetrations, supports, and interface loads.
develop and review 3d models using tekla or similar software and generate 2d fabrication drawings.
create ga drawings, assembly drawings, and connection details per project standards.
ensure constructability of design in coordination with fabrication vendors.
review vendor documents for skid base frame, gratings, ladders, lifting lugs, and transport skids.
ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards such as aisc, eurocode, is 800, asme, dnv, and project-specific specifications.
validate lifting points, transport analysis, and handling conditions per lifting study.
