Job Summary:
A Building Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing lighting, power, and electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings. The role involves wiring, installing electrical panels, and ensuring all connections function according to engineering blueprints and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Pulling and installing wires and cables through conduits (rough-in and finishing).
Installing and connecting main and sub-distribution boards (DBs).
Fitting switches, sockets, and various lighting fixtures.
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and Single Line Diagrams.
Testing electrical circuits and troubleshooting faults to ensure maximum safety.
Requirements:
Technical Degree or Vocational Diploma in Electrical Power or a related field.
Proven experience in reading blueprints and load distribution.
