key responsibilities:
equipment installation & commissioning:
install, configure, and commission biomedical equipment ensuring proper functionality
and adherence to manufacturer guidelines.
calibration & maintenance:
perform preventive and corrective maintenance of medical devices such as patient
monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, defibrillators, analyzers, and other hospital
equipment.
troubleshooting & repairs:
diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize equipment downtime and
ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.
safety & performance checks:
conduct regular safety inspections, performance verification, and compliance testing as
per nabh and hospital standards.
documentation:
maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, calibration,
and performance activities performed on equipment.
vendor coordination:
liaise with equipment vendors and service providers for spare parts, amc, and warranty
support.
user support & training:
provide operational training and technical support to medical and nursing staff on the
safe use of biomedical equipment.
compliance & quality:
ensure adherence to hospital policies, biomedical engineering protocols, and regulatory
requirements.
