Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Installation & Commissioning:
Install, configure, and commission biomedical equipment ensuring proper functionality
and adherence to manufacturer guidelines.
Calibration & Maintenance:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of medical devices such as patient
monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, defibrillators, analyzers, and other hospital
equipment.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize equipment downtime and
ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.
Safety & Performance Checks:
Conduct regular safety inspections, performance verification, and compliance testing as
per NABH and hospital standards.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, calibration,
and performance activities performed on equipment.
Vendor Coordination:
Liaise with equipment vendors and service providers for spare parts, AMC, and warranty
support.
User Support & Training:
Provide operational training and technical support to medical and nursing staff on the
safe use of biomedical equipment.
Compliance & Quality:
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, biomedical engineering protocols, and regulatory
requirements.
