we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented audio visual (av) technician to set up, operate, and maintain audio, video, and lighting equipment for meetings, conferences, events, and installations. the av technician will be responsible for ensuring high-quality sound, visuals, and seamless user experience while troubleshooting technical issues promptly.
key responsibilities
set up, operate, and maintain audio, video, and lighting systems for live events, meetings, and presentations.
install, configure, and troubleshoot av equipment including projectors, led walls, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, dsps, video switchers, and control systems.
manage cabling, connectivity, and signal flow (hdmi, vga, displayport, sdi, etc.).
conduct sound checks, video tests, and system calibrations before events.
provide technical support during live events, conferences, and video conferences (zoom, teams, webex, etc.).
perform preventive maintenance and keep equipment in optimal working condition.
coordinate with it teams, event managers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
maintain inventory of av equipment, cables, and accessories.
train end-users and staff on basic operation of av systems.
follow safety and compliance standards for equipment handling, rigging, and electrical systems.
skills & qualifications
strong knowledge of audio systems (microphones, mixers, speakers, dsps).
proficiency in video systems (projectors, displays, video switchers, scalers).
familiarity with control systems (crestron, extron, amx) and av-over-ip solutions.
understanding of networking basics (ip addressing, poe, dante, avb).
hands-on experience in troubleshooting av issues under pressure.
ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
willingness to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends when required.
