Job Description

1) management of the fleet of vehicles and assets that are spread in different parts of the country on a day-to-day basis.

2) monitor the assets and vehicle entries in the erp system on daily basis and ensure there are no gaps or misses

3) analyse data from daily logs and ascertain if all parameters as fuel consumption, distances covered, etc are within normal levels

4) generate monthly reports for the vehicles and assets with meaningful performance indicators

5) regular online / in person meetings with the admins / dprs to share information’s, improvements, etc

6) scrutinise requests for approvals for repairs, maintenance, service, etc, raised by admins/dprs, ascertain genuineness, necessity, work content and cost in discussions with the respective requestors

7) formulate and implement process improvements that improves efficiencies, cost, time and value adds to existing jobs

8) make recommendations to board for asset disposal, replacement or new asset purchase based on their performance

9) ensure all documents of the vehicles are always upto date

10) conduct informed and surprise audits of the assets and their admins and publish report

11) provide timely forecasts for assets major maintenance, sale and replacement.

12) maintain cordial relationship with admins but with zero tolerance for any unethical practices in the day-to-day job matters.

13) keep the respective hod and board updated on disciplinary issues, action taken or action recommended

14) conceptualise and develop automated systems for data tracking, reporting and providing advance alerts and warnings for all assets

15) prepare and furnish reports based on board members requests.

16) escalate issues as deemed necessary to protect assets and achieve given targets

17) consistent focus on continuous improvements in processes, automation, technology deployment replacing manual processes

previous work experience requirements

exposure and experience in inventory, spares and assets management in large and diverse industrial organisation.

worked in the passenger car / commercial vehicle industry in the oems in the manufacture, design, service or quality or in the passenger car and commercial vehicle service centres in the service function in hands on and/or supervisory role.

knowledge and expertise on vehicle engine, clutch, gear box, drive axle, steering axle, frame, electrical & electronics compulsory.
