objectives:

a junior architect is responsible for producing high quality project deliverables. he/ she can work on any/all phases of development including pre-design, schematic design, design development, execution drawings & documents and administration. they help the principal architect in site evaluation, quality & design checks and controls to ensure the facilitation of the project’s completion on-time, and meeting the quality standards.

principal duties & responsibilities:

1. preparing architectural and interior drawings as guided by the principal architect or the project manager.

2. reviewing & designing architectural and interior drawings when asked.

3. preparing 3d models on sketchup - conceptual and detailed as per design.

4. researching and maintaining knowledge of various materials, application methods & specifications.

5. providing guidance to sit engineers, supervisors & contractors like plumber, electrician, etc. and help them interpret the drawings and documents.

6. liaising with clients to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner, and that the project requirements are met.

7. preparing boqs for projects, and reviewing measurements shared by vendors/ contractors.

8. ensuring the team works together to achieve set goals and targets.

9. acting as a mentor to new architects and helping them fine tune their design skills and improve their industry knowledge.
