Job Summary
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems and components to ensure airworthiness, safety, and compliance with aviation regulations. The role requires strict adherence to maintenance procedures, safety standards, and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and inspections
Carry out repair, replacement, and servicing of aircraft components
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues
Read and interpret Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), IPC, SRM
Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements
Conduct pre-flight, transit, and post-flight checks
Use appropriate tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments
Maintain accurate technical records and logbooks
Follow SMS and Human Factors guidelines
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and quality teams
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems (airframe, engine, avionics)
Mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with maintenance documentation systems (preferred)
Education & Qualification
AME / AMT course from an approved aviation institute
Valid certification as per regulatory authority (where applicable)
Type-rating on aircraft (preferred for experienced candidates)
Freshers with strong technical fundamentals may apply
Physical & Work Requirements
Willingness to work rotational shifts, nights, weekends
Ability to work in hangars, ramps, confined spaces
Physically fit to work at heights and outdoor conditions
Safety & Compliance
Strict adherence to aviation safety regulations
Proper use of PPE and safety equipment
Immediate reporting of safety hazards or defects
