Job Description

As an Air Traffic Controller, your primary role is to ensure the safety and efficiency of air traffic in and around Dumdum airport. You will be responsible for guiding aircraft during takeoff, landing, and while they are in the air. This is a full-time position that requires you to work in an office environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Monitor Aircraft Movements:** Keep track of all incoming and outgoing flights to prevent collisions and ensure safe spacing between aircraft.

- **Communicate with Pilots:** Provide clear instructions and essential information to pilots via radio, including weather updates and flight paths.

- **Manage Traffic Flow:** Coordinate the takeoff and landing schedules of aircraft to maintain a smooth flow of traffic at the airport.

- **Respond to Emergencies:** Quickly assess emergency situations and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew.

- **Update Flight Information:** Stay informed on the latest flight schedules, delays, and aircraft status, sharing updates with relevant parties.

**Required Skills and Expectations:**

You should possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pilots and other airport staff. Attention to detail is crucial in monitoring flight paths and traffic. A calm demeanor under pressure is essential, as you will often need to make quick decisions in urgent situations. You should have strong problem-solving abilities to address any flight-related issues that arise. Adaptability is also expected, as you will work with changing conditions and technology in the air traffic control environment.
