job summary
the air cargo executive is responsible for assisting in daily cargo operations, documentation, shipment coordination, and ensuring smooth handling of import and export air freight. freshers will be trained to manage customer communication, cargo tracking, and compliance with airline and regulatory standards.
key responsibilities
1. cargo operations
assist in handling air import and export shipments.
coordinate cargo acceptance, build-up, breakdown, and movement within the terminal.
ensure cargo is stored, handled, and delivered as per safety and airline guidelines.
2. documentation
prepare and verify air waybills (awbs), invoices, packing lists, and other shipment documents.
update shipment details in the system/erp.
check compliance with customs and airline requirements.
3. customer coordination
communicate with customers, freight forwarders, and airline partners regarding shipment status.
provide updates on delivery timelines, delays, and cargo tracking.
assist in resolving customer queries.
4. compliance & safety
follow airport security protocols and iata regulations.
ensure cargo screening and documentation meet regulatory standards.
5. tracking & reporting
track incoming and outgoing shipments.
maintain daily cargo reports, load plans, and operational records.
support the team with data entry and operational tasks.
skills required
good communication skills (written & verbal).
basic understanding of logistics or supply chain (preferred but not mandatory).
knowledge of ms office (excel, word).
ability to multitask and work under pressure.
willingness to work in shifts (airport operations).
quick learner with good coordination skills.
educational qualification
graduate in any discipline (bba, , ba, preferred).
logistics or supply chain certification is an added advantage.
