job summary:

the agricultural worker is responsible for performing various manual and technical tasks involved in planting, cultivating, harvesting, and maintaining crops or livestock. the role ensures efficient farm operations and supports the farm management team in achieving production goals.

key responsibilities:

prepare soil by ploughing, tilling, and applying fertilisers.

plant, irrigate, and cultivate crops according to farm schedules.

harvest crops manually or using machinery.

operate and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.

assist in pest and weed control activities, including pesticide and herbicide application.

sort, grade, and pack harvested products for market or storage.

maintain the cleanliness and organisation of farm areas.

follow all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

report equipment malfunctions, crop issues, or animal health concerns to supervisors.

qualifications & skills:

minimum education: 8th / 10th grade pass (higher preferred).

experience in farming, crop production, or livestock handling (preferred).

ability to operate basic farm tools and machinery.

good physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor conditions.

understanding of safety and hygiene standards.

team-oriented and reliable.

work environment:

outdoor field work under varying weather conditions.
