As the Academic Coordinator, you will lead with your teaching practice, modelling best teaching and learning strategies, encouraging innovation and managing academic areas, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead with Exemplary Teaching & Learning Strategies

• Take classes in a core subject (English, Math, Science).

• Emulate best teaching practices

• Provide opportunities for teachers to learn in their class

- Curriculum & Program Management:

• Oversee the implementation and evaluation of educational curricula and standards.

• Coordinate lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning resources.

• Ensure alignment with local, national, and international accreditation bodies

- Scheduling & Operations:

• Build and manage class timetables, substitutions, and exam schedules.

• Maintain and update Learning Management Systems (LMS).

• Track student attendance, grades, and academic records

- Staff Support:

• Guide, mentor, and support teachers or junior coordinators.

• Conduct classroom observations and coordinate professional development (CPD) sessions.

• Facilitate communication between faculty members and administration.

Required Skills and Expectations:

You should hold at least a Bachelor's degree in English, Math or Science and a Bachelor's in Education or a teaching certificate/diploma.

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in educational leadership is required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students.

You should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school culture.

Knowledge of current educational trends and technology is also important to effectively lead others.
