Job Title: Category Manager, WeldingJob Summary:As the Category Manager of Welding, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing thewelding materials category. Your role will involve developing and implementing category strategies,ensuring product quality, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating with cross-functionalteams to optimize the overall efficiency of our platform.Responsibilities: Develop and execute a strategic plan for the welding materials category. Analyze market trends, customer needs. Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with welding materials suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers. Collaborate with suppliers to introduce new and innovative welding products to theplatform. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies. Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels, reduce leadtimes, and enhance overall logistics efficiency. Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulationsrelated to welding materials. Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and potential risks. Engage with customers to understand their welding material needs, gatherfeedback, and incorporate insights into category improvements. Collaborate with the customer service team to address any product-related inquiriesor issues.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Welding Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in a category management role within the welding materials orrelated industry. In-depth knowledge of welding materials, techniques, and industry standards. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Demonstrated success in product development and category management. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for category management.
