(Most Important)Excellent knowledge of construction methods and ISO regulations, materials knowledge, ability to solve problems using methodical approach, Developing Structural design, material specifications, Schematics and drawings in accordance with ISO quality systems.Job responsibilities of a structural engineer includes :Design of Steel Structures, Detailed Design of Concrete Structures.Structural Foundations and Investigations.Design of powerhouse structures, involving turbine and generator set foundations, substructure and superstructure.Design of penstocks (buried penstocks, above ground penstocks and liners).

Skill requirements :Powercity is looking for a highly talented Structural and Fluid Mechanics Engineer who can work in new projects and innovate. Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics & Dynamics.Excellent knowledge of construction methods and ISO regulations, materials knowledge, ability to solve problems using methodical approach, Developing Structural design, material specifications, Schematics and drawings in accordance with ISO quality systems. Perform structural calculations, design, and detailing for structural building elements, based on current building codes and specifications.Review and interpret technical documents and designs. Developing product designs from scratch.Prepare AutoCAD drawings and/or 3D model to present design and details of structures. (optional)Coordinate with designer and detailer to create drawings.Good understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) theory and practices. Develop solutions using CAD modeling and Drafting support.Good understanding of the performance characteristics of mechanical systems such as Knowledge of pump applications, pump selection criterias, knowledge on pumping fluid & hydraulic characteristics, compressors, turbines, fans etc.Experience with the design, analysis (including finite element analysis) and testing of rotating machinery components (e.g shafts, bearings, dampers, couplings, seals, gears, etc.) including conceptual design, detailed design, testing, validation, and product implementation.Familiarity with Simulation software such as ANSYS-CFX/FLUENT, MECHANICAL, ICEMCFD. Willing to do a lot of meshing. (optional)Construction experience in hydro POWER PLANT for Planning Execution, Monitoring, Quality Control, Billing etc. (Optional)Good verbal and written communication skills, Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.Minimum Requirements :Education : B.TECH / M.TECH / PhD in Civil or other equivalent field of Engineering
