Position Title:- Design Engineer (Robotics & Automation)Department:- Design & DevelopmentReporting To:- Design Head / Project ManagerLocation:- D-8, Sector 63, Noida, Near Electronic City MetroPosition Overview:We are looking for an innovative and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our robotics and automation team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, and improving designs for robotic machines and custom automation solutions. The role demands expertise in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and hands-on involvement in prototyping and production support.Key Responsibilities: Conceptualize and develop designs for robotic systems and automation projects. Prepare 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed component drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent software. Create accurate and detailed Bill of Materials (BOM). Perform load analysis, stress calculations, and basic simulations where required. Select appropriate materials and standard components (motors, actuators, sensors, fasteners, bearings, etc.) Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure feasibility and timely completion of projects. Optimize existing designs to improve performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Support the assembly team in understanding drawings and resolving design-related queries during fabrication and commissioning. Maintain and update design records, version control, and technical documentation.Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, & AutoCAD, Hands-on knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro-mechanical systems is added advantage. Knowledge of robotic system components: motors, drives, sensors, actuators, etc. Familiarity with sheet metal, machining, fabrication processes, and material selection. Ability to create 2D and 3D drawings, assembly drawings, and exploded views.Qualification:B.E. / B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automobile, or Production Engineering.1-2 years of experience in design and development, preferably in robotics, automation, or special purpose machine (SPM) manufacturing.Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving ability. Team coordination and leadership potential. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
