A shadow teacher, is required to work on inclusion aide, or learning support assistant, is a trained professional who works directly with a child with special needs (such as Autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities) within a mainstream classroom. Their primary goal is to provide academic, behavioral, and emotional support to help the child integrate into the classroom, participate fully, and develop independence. Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Support: Modify curriculum, simplify instructions, and break down tasks to suit the students learning pace.Behavioral Management: Implement behavior plans, manage distractions, and encourage positive behavior in the classroom.Social & Emotional Support: Facilitate peer interaction, teach social skills, and build the student's confidence.Collaboration: Work with class teachers, special educators, and therapists to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).Observation & Reporting: Monitor progress and maintain daily/weekly communication with parents and school staff.Fading Support: Gradually reduce assistance to promote the childs independence.
