WE'RE HIRING Rotating Equipment Engineer - O&M Water TreatmentLocation: Gujarat, IndiaJob Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are looking for an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer to lead the operation, maintenance, reliability and troubleshooting of rotating equipment across our water treatment and industrial/hazardous wastewater treatment plants.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead operation, maintenance, reliability and troubleshooting of rotating equipment in water and wastewater treatment plantsManage centrifugal, dosing/metering, positive displacement, sludge/screw and submersible pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers, agitators, aerators and centrifugesSupport clarifiers, DAF/CAF units, filter press and sludge dewatering equipment, RO high-pressure pumps, UF/MBR feed and backwash pumps, ozone and air systems, and cooling water pumpsPlan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance: vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, alignment and balancingTroubleshoot cavitation, seal and bearing failures, vibration, misalignment, overheating, corrosion, erosion and abnormal noisePerform root cause analysis (RCA) and propose corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve reliability and reduce downtimeCoordinate repairs, overhauls, shutdowns and contractor/vendor activities; manage critical spares and inventoryWork with process and operations teams so equipment performance supports treatment efficiency and discharge complianceSupport motors, VFDs, couplings, gearboxes, mechanical seals and associated piping and valves with electrical and instrument teamsEvaluate and recommend equipment replacements, upgrades and modifications, including pump curve and performance assessmentSupport commissioning and startup, including mechanical completion checks, alignment and run testsPrepare and maintain equipment datasheets, maintenance plans, SOPs, equipment history records, CMMS data and technical reportsEnsure compliance with EHS, Permit-to-Work (PTW), lockout/tagout, confined space and chemical handling requirementsParticipate in risk assessments (RA), MSJSA reviews, MOC reviews, government inspections and customer auditsRecommend improvements to equipment reliability, energy efficiency and maintenance costQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance and reliability in water treatment, wastewater treatment or process industry plantsHands-on experience with pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers and sludge handling equipment, including mechanical seals and bearingsExperience in condition monitoring such as vibration analysis and alignment is preferredAble to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, pump curves and equipment datasheetsFamiliar with CMMS and maintenance planning systemsStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently under abnormal plant conditionsFamiliar with PTW, RA, MOC and relevant safety and environmental regulationsGood communication skills with operations, maintenance and management teamsStrong sense of responsibility and willingness to work on-site, including shifts and emergency call-outs when requiredHOW TO APPLYSend your CV to: planofabhosur@gmail.comPlease share this post with anyone who may be interested!
