We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join our team in Visakhapatnam. This position is open to candidates with 0 to 6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture or engineering and will be responsible for estimating costs associated with construction projects. Certification in Quantity Surveying or Estimation From BHADANIS QS Institute or Nicmar or RICS shall be given preferenceKey Responsibilities:- Review Project Plans: Analyze drawings and specifications to gather information for estimating project costs. This helps identify materials and labor needed.- Prepare Cost Estimates: Calculate the quantity and price of materials, labor, and overhead costs involved in project execution. This ensures accurate budgeting.- Conduct Site Visits: Visit construction sites to understand the scope of work and gather first-hand information for accurate estimates. This provides clarity and precision in the estimation process.- Coordinate with Contractors: Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and validate costs. Effective coordination ensures comprehensive and competitive estimates.- Maintain Cost Databases: Update and record historical cost data to support future estimating efforts. This builds a reliable reference for future projects.Required Skills and Expectations:A successful candidate should possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure estimates are precise. Proficiency in construction software and Microsoft Excel is essential to perform calculations efficiently. Good communication skills are important for collaborating with team members and vendors. Candidates should be proactive and capable of managing tight deadlines, as the role often requires quick turnaround times for cost estimates.
