The Design Engineer Mechanical will work as an individual contributor responsible for executing engineering and product development assignments with limited supervision. The role involves handling design, project coordination, and technical documentation while ensuring projects are delivered within schedule, budget, and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Execute engineering and product/fixture development assignments for small or large projects independentlyDeliver project scope within defined budget, schedule, and quality standardsCoordinate with cross-functional teams including production, electrical, R&D, purchase, and project teamsReview and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codesPrepare Scope of Work (SoW), project charters, work breakdown structure (WBS), and project plansMonitor project progress and present status and progress reportsManage scope changes through proper change management processesFacilitate design reviews with internal teams and customersReview and finalize engineering documents including drawings, specifications, and reportsCoordinate with vendors, contractors, inspection agencies, and internal teamsSupport manufacturing, fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning activitiesAssist in technical proposals, engineering bids, and project management improvementsRequired Skills & Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldStrong experience in 3D SolidWorks and mechanical designKnowledge of manufacturing processes, hydraulics, and basic electrical/instrumentation systemsSound understanding of engineering practices, design calculations, and documentationStrong project planning, organizing, and project management skillsAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documentsExperience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teamsGood communication, presentation, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of project management tools such as Primavera or MS Project will be an advantageProficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Should have hands on work experience of PLC and PLC programming of Honeywell, Siemens and Schneider, SCADA screen development and HMI interfacing.* Recommend and implement improvement to Distributed Control Systems, PLC, and other control systems* Provide ongoing site support, which may include site visit, installation and commissioning activities.* Distributed Control System configuration, commissioning, startup, and tuning* Distributed Control System, field instrumentation, and valve-related situations troubleshooting and problem resolution* Configuration optimization of both batch and continuous process control* Loop tuning* Troubleshooting field instrumentation and valve application* Interfaces to PLCs, drives, and various control bus networks* Gas Detection Systems
