Provide ward orientation to the patient Inform the doctor and Dietary department Explain the procedure, visiting time and treatment related queries of the patient Ensure the investigation is carried out without delay. Inform the patient facilities& privileges available for them. Maintain inventory of equipment's, CSSD items like linen, and other instruments etc. Ensure proper functioning of all the equipment's and instruments and inform the concerned department. Check the required quantity of consumables pharmaceuticals and general stores items, and indent the Same on weekly basis. Indent medicines for company patients separately and return the unused medicines along with the bills to the pharmacy. Assist the patient and observe the condition, Vital signs, Hemodynamic status. Prepare and administer medicines, Injections, I/V Injections etc. Enter the observation on various documents. Maintain the nutrition status by giving adequate diet. Prepare patients for the clinical tests and medical procedures and provide assistance for the same. Collect and dispatch all type of specimens to concerned lab. Maintain aseptic practice in ward. Handover and take charge of shift. Assign work duties, and responsibilities of equipment to the staff nurses. Provide guidance to the staff nurse for patient care. Ensure up-keep and repair of linen and ward equipment. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the ward. Accompany the consultants/senior staff in their rounds and ensure the implementation of their instructions. Check the patient bills and send to the finance department. Check and maintain all the admission and discharge register. Patient and Family Education. Ensure that the patient's reports are complete and dispatch them to the medical records department.
