May include explaining the process, obtaining informed consent, and preparing the patient's body for the scan. Contrast Material Administration:Administers contrast materials necessary for specific scans. Carefully monitors patients for adverse reactions during the procedures. Patient Monitoring:Monitors patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the procedure. Ensures patient safety and comfort during scans. Communicates any concerns or changes in the patient's condition to the radiologists or other healthcare professionals. Collaboration:Works closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and safe procedures. May assist with other tasks as needed, such as cleaning equipment or preparing the scan room.
