A MERN Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. The role involves building responsive user interfaces, developing backend APIs, managing databases, and ensuring smooth integration between frontend and backend systems. The developer collaborates with cross-functional teams, troubleshoots issues, optimizes performance, and contributes to end-to-end project delivery.

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer (PHP) who can power our e-commerce engine and ensure smooth backend operations. The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our e-commerce platform. The role involves working with APIs, databases, and backend workflows to ensure seamless order management, payment processing, and sellerbuyer integrations. Youll also collaborate with frontend, product, and operations teams to deliver a high-performance platform. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend systems using PHP (Laravel/CodeIgniter preferred).Design, build, and optimize MySQL/MariaDB databases.Create and integrate REST APIs for frontend and third-party services.Implement payment gateway integrations (Razorpay, PayU, Paytm, etc.).Manage core e-commerce workflows cart, checkout, orders, returns, settlements.Ensure backend security (SQL injection prevention, data protection, secure APIs).Work on server management (Linux/Apache/Nginx configuration, hosting, deployment).Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and database queries.Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, errors, and integration issues.Maintain backend documentation for smooth knowledge sharing.Collaborate with frontend developers, product engineers, and marketing teams to align backend with business goals. Core Technical Skills (Must Have):Strong knowledge of PHP (preferably Laravel or CodeIgniter framework).Experience in MySQL / MariaDB database design, optimization, and management.Proficiency in REST API development and integration.Knowledge of server-side scripting, session management, and authentication.Familiarity with payment gateway integration (Razorpay, PayU, Paytm, etc.).Understanding of order management systems, cart flows, and checkout logic.Experience with e-commerce workflows (products, inventory sync, order processing, returns).Additional Technical Skills (Good to Have):Knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery (for backendfrontend coordination).Experience with Linux server management (Apache/Nginx, cPanel, or VPS setup).Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub for version control.Understanding of SEO-friendly backend structures (URLs, meta handling).Security & Performance:Ability to implement secure coding practices (SQL injection prevention, CSRF, XSS protection).Knowledge of scalability and caching (Redis, Memcached).Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.Soft Skills:Ability to coordinate with frontend, product, and marketing teams.Strong problem-solving and logical thinking.Good communication for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Experience working in fast-paced startup/e-commerce environments is a plus.
