Implement security measures such as intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, and compliance with standard ISO 27001 to protect sensitive data. Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Set up and utilize monitoring tools like Zabbix, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track system performance, resource utilization, and alerts. Analyse logs, detect issues proactively, and optimize for high availability across all environments. Monitor network traffic, latency, and performance metrics. Analyse network logs, detect bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and low latency for production and non-production environments. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement native, DB back-up solutions [Ex: DB dump, LSN based etc] Azure backup solutions for automated backups, restoration processes, and disaster recovery planning. Ensure regular testing of backups for production, staging, and test servers to maintain business continuity. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and database issues. Apply patches, updates, and security fixes to Linux systems, apachi, etc. Perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime. User and Access Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access controls (RBAC) in Azure and Linux environments. Collaborate with development and operations teams to support deployments and integrations. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and processes. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices for cloud security and data management. Collaboration and Innovation: Work with IT teams to deploy new solutions, automate tasks using scripting, and integrate with tools Required Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, with at least 2 years in Azure cloud environments. Proven track record managing multiple servers (20+), including production, staging, and test setups. Hands-on experience with MariaDB or similar databases (e.g., MySQL).
