Manage multiple projects simultaneously for the development of mechanical products, assemblies, and sub-assemblies Be Hands-on with multiple manufacturing processes (foundry, machine shop, fabrication, etc.) Vendor Management o Identification of New Vendors o Interaction with vendors to supply as specification and analyse the information provided by vendors o Negotiation & Purchase order creation/supervision o Follow-ups to ensure quality & delivery Product Management o New Product development o Full Ownership of product & quality (product requirements procedures, inspection and test records - internal/external) o Ability to determine problem, investigate different engineering options and propose the best solution based on a variety of considerations. People Management o Ability to mentor and guide junior staff and get them up to speed with the current project status o Prepare and present engineering solutions to the management Formulate, implement, and adhere to Quality Management Systems Ideal Candidate Masters or Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Design Engineering 12-15 years experience Excellent knowledge of different manufacturing process and machines for metals and nonmetals (e.g. casting, forging, CNC, Welding etc.) Hands on experience with machine shop / foundry is a plus good knowledge of design tools (auto CAD, ANSYS) experience managing suppliers experience managing multiple projects (planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring) experience with purchasing (creating Purchase orders) experience ensuring quality controls for products
