Key Responsibilities3D Modeling & 2D Drafting: Develop highly precise 3D part and assembly models using industry-standard CAD software. Convert these models into detailed, production-ready 2D manufacturing drawings with clear geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Structural & Simulation Analysis: Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to simulate stress, thermal expansion, fatigue, and fluid flow. Use this data to validate designs before physical prototyping.DFM & DFA Implementation: Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Ensure components can be realistically fabricated via CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal stamping, or casting with minimal waste.Material & Component Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate metals, plastics, or composites based on environmental stress, weight constraints, lifecycle, and cost. Research and source standard off-the-shelf components like bearings, seals, and fasteners.Prototyping & Testing: Build, inspect, and physically test functional prototypes. Document component failures, analyze root causes, and iterate designs to rectify structural or functional flaws.BOM Management: Create and maintain comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM), design change notices (ECN), and technical design files for smooth hand-off to the procurement and assembly floor teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Maintenance:Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and utilities (like compressors, boilers, HVAC, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems).Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and implement root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.Process & Production Optimization:Assist in production planning and control (PPC) to ensure manufacturing targets are achieved smoothly.Implement continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM) to enhance shop-floor efficiency and minimize downtime.Design & Development (If applicable to the specific domain):Read, interpret, and modify technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Collaborate on the installation and commissioning of new machinery and capital equipment (CAPEX).Quality & Safety Compliance:Ensure all mechanical processes and finished products comply with international quality standards (like ISO 9001).Enforce a strict culture of industrial safety and environmental compliance across the plant.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Shop Floor ExecutionExecute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on the master plan to meet delivery deadlines.Allocate manpower, machines, and raw materials efficiently across shifts to maximize throughput.Monitor production lines in real-time, troubleshooting bottlenecks, material shortages, or operational delays.2. Process Optimization & EfficiencyImplement Lean Manufacturing techniques (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Single-Minute Exchange of Die) to minimize cycle times and eliminate waste.Optimize machining and assembly processes to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).Review production layouts and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce material handling costs.3. Machine Maintenance & SafetyCoordinate with the Maintenance Department for Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) to reduce unexpected machine downtime.Ensure all shop floor operations strictly adhere to company safety protocols, EHS guidelines, and hazardous material regulations.Identify and report any unsafe working conditions or mechanical issues on the floor immediately.4. Documentation & ReportingMaintain daily production logs, shift reports, and shift-handover documentation accurately.Track and report key production metrics including shift output, scrap/rework rates, and downtime analytics.Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for operators.
