We are seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee and manage our machining operations in Chakan. The preferred candidate will have a background in engineering and relevant experience in a machine shop environment.Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Daily Operations: Ensure the machining processes run smoothly by overseeing the day-to-day activities within the shop. This includes monitoring workflows and implementing improvements as necessary.- Team Management: Lead and coordinate a team of machine operators and technicians. Provide guidance, support, and training to enhance the team's performance and skill set.- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality standards for all manufactured parts. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and tackle any quality-related issues promptly.- Scheduling and Planning: Develop production schedules and allocate resources efficiently to meet deadlines. Balance workload among team members to optimize productivity.- Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols within the shop to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.- Maintenance Oversight: Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repair and maintenance of machinery to prevent downtime.Required Skills and Expectations:- A Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field is necessary.- A minimum of 2 to 7 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.- Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively supervise staff.- Excellent problem-solving abilities to resolve production challenges.- Knowledge of machining processes and quality assurance techniques.- Good communication skills to interact with team members and management effectively.
