Key Responsibilities1. Assembly and FittingBlueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and assembly sequences.Metal Shaping: Cut and shape metal components using processes like sawing, chipping, filing, grinding, and drilling.Precision Fitting: File and finish parts to ensure they fit together perfectly, often using a Bench Vice to secure the work.Fastening: Use various fastening methods including nuts and bolts, rivets, studs, and screws to create a complete unit.2. Maintenance and RepairPreventive Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on industrial machinery to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.Fault Finding: Dismantle defective machines to identify worn-out or broken parts and replace them with new or repaired components.Overhauling: Perform complete dismantling and reassembly of machines (like lathes or drills) for deep cleaning and lubrication.3. Measurement and Quality ControlPrecision Measurement: Use instruments like Vernier Callipers, Micrometers, and Dial Indicators to check that finished parts meet strict dimensional requirements.Marking: Use marking tools (scribes, height gauges, and punch marks) to indicate guide lines for cutting or drilling.4. Safety and HousekeepingSafety Protocols: Adhere to all industrial safety standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety shoes, goggles, and gloves.5S Implementation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S) to ensure efficiency and prevent workplace accidents.Technical Tools & MachineryHand Tools: Spanners, pliers, hammers, chisels, files (flat, round, half-round), and hacksaws.Power Tools: Portable grinders, drilling machines, and pneumatic/hydraulic fastening tools.Machinery: Practical knowledge of operating Lathe machines, Bench Grinders, and Pillar Drilling machines.

Installation and Assembly:Assemble, install, and connect electrical and electronic components, circuits, and systems according to technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.Align and calibrate cables, wiring, and system components for optimal performance.Build prototypes and test fixtures from plans or sketches, often fabricating necessary parts using machine tools.Testing and Diagnostics:Conduct functional and performance testing on electrical/electronic devices and systems using instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.Analyze test results to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and recommend design modifications or equipment repairs to engineers.Maintenance and Repair:Troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning electrical systems, electronic components, and circuitry.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend service life.Replace faulty components, perform soldering, and adjust parts to correct problems.Documentation and Collaboration:Read, interpret, and utilize complex technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and engineering instructions.Document all work performed, including repairs, maintenance activities, modifications, and system performance data, maintaining detailed service records.Collaborate with electrical/electronics engineers and other technical staff to support design, development, and improvement projects.Prepare and update technical documentation, reports, and sometimes instruction manuals for end-users.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all local, national, and company safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and testing equipment are in good working order.

Sample Management: Prepare and process samples for analysis. This includes tasks like labeling, cataloging, and ensuring that samples are stored correctly.Equipment Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, and maintain lab equipment and instruments. They also assist with basic calibration and troubleshooting.Inventory and Supply Management: Monitor lab supplies, chemicals, and reagents. They are responsible for keeping an inventory and placing orders when needed to ensure the lab is always well-stocked.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all experiments, tests, and procedures. They assist in data entry and organizing lab files.Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to all safety protocols and lab regulations. They ensure the lab environment is clean, organized, and free of hazards.Waste Disposal: Safely dispose of chemical waste, biohazardous materials, and other laboratory byproducts according to established protocols.
