Senior Horticulturist Job Description:*1. Landscape Execution*: To get landscape designs and specifications implemented as per the design intent provided by the Landscape Consultant, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.2. Plant Procurement*: Source and procure high-quality plants, trees, and materials specified for landscape projects.3. Soil Preparation*: To get soil prepared and conduct land development according to Landscape Consultant specifications, ensuring optimal growing conditions.4. Transit Nursery Management*: To develop and maintain a transit nursery for sapling and seedling propagation, adhering to specifications and ensuring healthy plant growth.5. Plant Care*: To oversee plant health, pruning, fertilization, pest management, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal plant growth and maintenance.6. Collaboration*: To coordinate with Landscape Consultant, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure landscape design implementation aligns with drawings and specifications.7. Quality Control*: To conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards, specifications, and project timelines.8. Team Management*: Lead and supervise a team of horticulture staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.9. Sustainability*: To implement sustainable landscape practices, minimizing environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly maintenance procedures.10. Documentation*: To maintain accurate records of plant procurement, soil preparation, maintenance activities, and project progress.This role requires expertise in landscape horticulture, plant care, team management, and collaboration with consultants and contractors and thereby managerial skills. About 10 to 15 years of experienced Horticulturist required.

Execution of designs and drawings computer-aided design programs surveying sites producing contracts and estimated costs presenting proposals to clients for approval and agreeing time-scales overseeing projects as they progress seeking the opinions of locals, business and others who use the site liaising with other professionals involved with the project. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with basic computer knowledge. Overseeing the growth and maintenance of plants and trees Managing weed/pest/disease control programmes Supervising gardeners and assigning them task Managing and scheduling team of gardeners Negotiating contracts with buyers and suppliers Ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met within set budgets.
