Key Responsibilities1. Student Support & CounselingProvide individual and group counseling sessions to address students academic, emotional, behavioral, and social needs.Support students in developing coping skills, stress management, and conflict resolution strategies.Assist students in setting and achieving personal and academic goals.2. Academic & Career GuidanceGuide students in course selection and academic planning.Provide information on higher education, career opportunities, and skill development.Organize workshops and seminars on career awareness and life skills.3. Behavioral & Emotional DevelopmentIdentify and support students facing personal or behavioral challenges.Implement preventive and responsive programs to address bullying, peer pressure, or adjustment issues.Refer students to external professionals or agencies when needed.4. Collaboration & CommunicationWork with teachers and parents to monitor and support student progress.Conduct parent meetings to discuss students well-being and provide guidance.Coordinate with school management to develop student welfare policies.5. Administrative DutiesMaintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions.Prepare reports and updates on student counseling activities.Organize awareness programs, mental health campaigns, and workshops.Qualifications & SkillsMasters/Bachelors degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.Certification/diploma in counseling (preferred).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with students.Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention skills.Work EnvironmentBased within the school premises.Works closely with students, teachers, and parents.
