Guiding the Project TechnicianAssisting project technicians during site visits to take accurate measurements for theconstructed sites and guide them to coordinate with architect offices to obtain terrace floorplans for under-construction sitesGuiding technicians to collect service connection details for existing buildings or instructedthem to gather MEP drawings to determine the required PV capacity for the building2. Analysing the EB Bill or MEP DrawingAnalysing TNEB/APEPDCL electricity bills to calculate PV capacity requirementsReviewing MEP drawings to derive load details and calculate PV capacity based on thebuilding's load requirements3. Solar Panel ArrangementDesigning solar panel layouts by analysing site conditions, obstacles, and shadow-prone areasto maximize efficiencyDetermining the harness able capacity of the site and identified the appropriate mountingstructures for the solar panels.4. Discussion with the Technical HeadPresenting calculated PV capacity and harness able capacity to the technical head for reviewand discussionCollaborating to finalize the PV capacity for the project.5. Project EstimationCalculating project requirements, including the length and type of cables needed based oninverter placement and distances from the solar panels and EB room.Finalizing the estimated costs after consulting with the technical head.Preparing and documenting the estimate, sharing it with the client for approval6. Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ)Creating detailed BOQ documents for each project.Checking stock lists to ensure availability of required materials.Ordering the extra needed materials which is not in the inventory, ensuring cost-efficiencyand timely delivery.7. Preparation of Execution DrawingsPreparing the BOM for proper inventory managementPreparing execution drawings, includingSolar mounting structure drawings (ground-mounted or raised structures).Solar string calculations and string layouts.Connection diagrams from solar panels to DCDB, inverter, and other componentsVerifing the drawings with the technical head to ensure accuracy and to avoid futureconfusions.8. Explaining the Structure and SystemExplaining the execution drawings to senior project technicians and clarifying the doubtsbefore starting the installation.9. Installation and Verification10. System ConfigurationGunding technicians in configuring inverters, changeover switches, and monitoring devicessuch as smart meters Venfing remote monitoring setups using Cat 6 cables or Wi-Fi extender11.
