No:926/4(A2), Devendra Avenue, Koman Nagar, Thaiyur,Chennai, Tamil Nadu, IndiaEmployment Type: Full TimeExperience Required: Minimum 2 years (operating RC planes and drones)Job SummaryAbout the Role:We are looking for a skilled UAV Technician who has hands-on experience in operating RC (radio-controlled) planes as well as drones. The person will be responsible for flight operations, maintenance, repair, and ensuring safe and compliant UAV usage for our projects.Responsibilities: Operate RC planes and drones safely and effectively for missions / tasks assigned (surveillance, mapping, inspection, etc.) Plan flight paths, preflight checks, postflight inspections Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults in RC planes / drones Maintain and service UAV components: motors, servos, controllers, batteries, sensors, telemetry systems Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and internal SOPs Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, mapping or content teams as needed during field deployments Keep accurate logs of flights, maintenance, incidents, repair works Ensure that all UAV assets are stored, transported, and handled safelyRequired Skills & Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in flying / operating RC planes and drones (both fixed wing & multirotor preferred) Good understanding of aerodynamics, flight control principles, and electronics relevant to UAVs Handson skills in mechanical repair, soldering, basic electronics, and replacing/adjusting servos, propellers, controllers etc. Familiarity with flight controller software / firmware (e.g. Ardupilot, PX4, or others) Knowledge of battery management (LiPo / Li-Ion), charging safety etc. Strong attention to safety, ability to follow checklists, understand risk in field operations Ability to read technical manuals, interpret wiring diagrams etc. Good problem-solving, ability to work independently on site Communication skills: report writing, flight log updating, communicating with team membersDesirable / Plus: Certification in UAV/drone operations, pilot license (if applicable) Experience with aerial photography, mapping or surveying tools Familiarity with relevant regulations / permissions for UAV operations in India Experience with payloads (cameras, sensors etc.)What We Offer Opportunity to work in an innovative / field-oriented environment Exposure to cutting-edge UAV / drone / RC-plane technologies Field travel, hands-on work
