Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed production schedules and allocate resources (manpower, equipment, and raw materials) to meet production targets and customer deadlines.Process Optimization: Continuously monitor production processes and workflows. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements using lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.Quality Control & Compliance: Oversee quality control checks to ensure all products meet company specifications and industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP). Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and quality protocols on the floor.Team Management & Leadership: Lead, train, and manage the production team, including supervisors and operators. Set performance objectives, conduct appraisals, and foster a highly motivated and disciplined work environment.Budget and Cost Management: Manage the production budget, monitor expenditure, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired promptly to minimize downtime.Reporting: Prepare and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and production reports (e.g., output, scrap rate, downtime) for senior management, offering insights and forecasts.

Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop short-term and long-term production plans based on customer orders, sales forecasts, and resource availability. This includes creating detailed production schedules, assigning tasks, and setting deadlines.Material and Resource Planning: Forecast material requirements and coordinate with the procurement and inventory teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials. They also plan and allocate resources, including machinery, manpower, and tools, to optimize the manufacturing process.Shop Floor Coordination: Monitor production progress on the factory floor, address any delays or bottlenecks, and ensure the production team has the necessary support to meet targets.ERP/SAP and Documentation: Operate and manage data within ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or SAP systems for tasks like job order creation, material issue, and status updates. They are also responsible for maintaining production reports, delay analysis, and performance metrics.Continuous Improvement: Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements. They often implement lean manufacturing tools such as 5S or Kaizen to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key link between various departments, including design, quality control, sales, and logistics, to ensure a smooth workflow and a cohesive approach to production.
