We are looking for a Credit Underwriter to join our team in Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 7 years of experience in credit assessment and analysis. This is a full-time role requiring presence in the office.Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate Credit Applications: Review loan applications and assess the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses to determine risk levels.- Analyze Financial Statements: Examine applicants' financial documents, including income statements and balance sheets, to gauge their financial health and repayment ability.- Assign Credit Scores: Use established credit scoring models to assign scores that reflect the risk associated with lending money to applicants.- Communicate Decisions: Clearly communicate loan approval or denial decisions to applicants, providing detailed explanations when necessary.- Maintain Documentation: Keep thorough records of all assessments and decisions made, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with sales and risk management teams to help streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.Required Skills and Expectations:Candidates should have strong analytical skills to assess financial data accurately. Proficiency in credit analysis and knowledge of relevant financial regulations are essential. Effective communication skills are crucial for explaining decisions clearly to applicants. Attention to detail is important to ensure accurate evaluations and compliance with standards. The candidate must also have the ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a fast-paced environment. A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.

Key Responsibilities1. Credit underwriting by evaluating the financial status and assessing credit worthiness of the borrowers,2. To check that the executed documents - both loan & collateral documents - are in line with the sanctioned terms.3. Ensure compliance to all Audit / NHB regulations as well as processes, policies and reports as per company designed systems4. Work closely with Sales and Operations team5. Communicate clearly and effectively (both verbal and written). Communicate timely and responsively. Seeks feedback and provides feedback. Encourages open discussion and dialogue.6. Develop and maintain strong external and internal customer relationships by identifying and anticipating customer needs and responding to them by maintaining long term relationships.7. Preparing MIS reports on monthly basis

Responsibilities: - Candidate would be responsible for appraising & assessing risks for loan under the consumer-focused Loan. - The incumbent will be responsible for underwriting personal loan proposal as per the laid down policies & procedure to honor the agreed SLAs and manage city/area business volumes. - To conduct personal discussion with customers to establish Credit worthiness. - Interact with the client, gather requirements, financial statements and other inputs for performing quality Credit analysis and due diligence. (for renewal & new borrowers) - To prepare Credit Appraisal Memo (CAM). - Responsible for Credit Assessment. -To coordinate with sales to achieve targets and ensure TAT or SLAs are met. - Work closely with RM/Product partners in structuring Credit solutions and ensuring appropriateness of the products, and expediting approvals Qualification & Experience Required: Graduate/MBA with at least 2 to 4 years relevant experience in Credit Underwriting for Salaried Personal Loan Product of Banks, NBFCs. Good experience in Credit analysis - Balance sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Bank Statement. Credit underwriting work experience within retail lending with any large NBFC or Bank. Ideal candidate should understand the credit risk of consumer-focused loan and SME segment lending. Prospective candidate should have hands-on experience on how to review, assess and underwrite secured and unsecured loans with focus in personal loan underwriting.Office Timing & Working Days: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (can be stretched depending upon workload)- Monday to Saturday
