We are looking for a crane operator to be responsible for operating various types of cranes, from stationary to traveling overhead cranes, and truck cranes. The crane operators responsibilities include knowledge of lever and pedal control, driving cranes to the worksite, setting up the manufacturers operators manual, inspecting the crane for safety daily, and operating the crane under general supervision. You should be able to lift and lower materials with precision and transport heavy equipment to worksites.

Being familiar with the crane's load chart.Inspecting and maintaining the crane regularly.Be particularly cautious around power lines.Maintaining communication with signalpersons.Supervising and training the apprentice if one is present.Checking that the site is adequately prepared for the crane.Assembling, setting up and rigging the crane properly.The operator must understand its functions and limitations.Shutting down and securing the machine properly when it is unattended.Recording in the log or report the details of all inspections, maintenance.The operator must understand the correct meaning of all notes and warnings.Informing the owner of any problems, needed maintenance, or necessary repairs.

Display above average engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability.
