Key Responsibilities:1. Set up and operate CNC machines, including milling, turning, and grinding machines.2. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production.3. Load and unload parts, tools, and materials, and perform routine maintenance tasks.4. Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs as needed.5. Meet production deadlines, quality standards, and safety requirements.6. Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.Requirements and Skills:1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.2. 2+ years of experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in a manufacturing environment.3. Strong knowledge of CNC machines, programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code), and software (e.g., CAD/CAM).4. Excellent mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.5. CNC Programmer:CNC Programmer/Sr. CNC Programmer Programming A CNC programmer writes code offline using Siemens UG NX to automate power driven machines that cut and finish metalsuch as lathes, grinders and mills. CNC Programming for geometry creation, toolpath generation and toolpath post processing for Turning (VTL & HTL), Milling (2, 3 & 5 axes) & Mill turn machines.Sample Job Description for a CNC Programmer: Creates instructions for machinists. Reviews 3D CAD design blueprints. Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut. Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program forFanuc, Heidenhain, or Siemens Controls. Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests using Vericut. Prepares geometric layout of designs using Siemens UG NX. Determines sequence of operations in a program. Chooses cutting tools that will be needed. Analyzes job order and performs necessary calculations. Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency. Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs. Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes. Simplifies tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the company. Evaluates all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfullyreduce time and money for the company. Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely andsuccessfully complete the task. Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
