Major Roles & Responsibilities.Medication Dispensing Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately to patients.Clinical Review Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions.Patient Counseling Provide guidance to patients on medication use, side effects, and storage.Inventory Management Monitor and maintain stock levels of medicines and medical supplies.Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and safety standards.Collaboration with Healthcare Team Work with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to optimize patient treatment.Adverse Event Monitoring Identify, report, and manage adverse drug reactions.Education & Training Train and guide pharmacy technicians and interns.Record Keeping Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled substances, and patient interactions.Clinical Research Support Assist in clinical trials or research studies involving medications.
