Basic Design Engineer Jobs

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop vehicle and component concepts based on product requirements, market trends, and customer expectations.Create 2D sketches, 3D concept models, and design proposals for automotive systems and components.Collaborate with Styling, Product Engineering, CAE, Manufacturing, and Marketing teams during concept development.Conduct feasibility studies and packaging assessments for new vehicle concepts.Translate styling surfaces into engineering-ready designs.Participate in concept reviews and present design solutions to internal and external stakeholders.Support benchmarking activities and competitor vehicle analysis.Evaluate design alternatives based on cost, performance, safety, and manufacturability.Ensure concept designs comply with OEM, regulatory, and safety requirements.Support prototype development and concept validation activities.

The Design Engineer Mechanical will work as an individual contributor responsible for executing engineering and product development assignments with limited supervision. Support the assembly team in understanding drawings and resolving design-related queries during fabrication and commissioning. Maintain and update design records, version control, and technical documentation.Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, & AutoCAD, Hands-on knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro-mechanical systems is added advantage. Knowledge of robotic system components: motors, drives, sensors, actuators, etc. Familiarity with sheet metal, machining, fabrication processes, and material selection. Ability to create 2D and 3D drawings, assembly drawings, and exploded views.Qualification:B.E. / B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automobile, or Production Engineering.1-2 years of experience in design and development, preferably in robotics, automation, or special purpose machine (SPM) manufacturing.Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
