Backup and Restore ManagementS/N Responsibilities1 Provide technical support on backup software2 Configuring backup policies with necessary attributes3 Maintain and monitor backup servers and virtual or physical enterprise HP Tape Libraries ,its drives, and other critical Hardware/software Parts 4 Administration and management of Tape Libraries Enterprise Software5 Back and restrore of data in accordance to defined process/procedures/defined process6 Support for file and Volume restoration requests7 Maintenance and upgard of software as and when needed8 Performance analysis of Infrastructure and rework of backup schedule for optimum utilization9 Generation and publishing of backup reports periodically10 Maintaining backup tape retention policy and inventory of onsite tapes,11 Forecasting Tape requirement for Backup12 Prepared Details plan for steps to resolve servers,OS Db and Application for both DC-DR Sites.13 Ensuring Failed Backups are restarted and completed successfully within the backup cycle14 Monitor and Enhance the performance of scheduled Backup 15 Management of storage environment to maintain performance at optimum levels16 Periodic- restoration testing of the backup17 periodic bowing of the backup Media18 Installation of master ,media and Client servers configuring Robots and Drives ,freezing and unfreezing the medias.19 management of storage and SAN Switch but not limited to managing space,Volume,RAID Configuration SAN fabric /switches ,Tape Libraries etc.while Backup/restore20 monitoring of Data Loading ,log maintenance and reporting on a regular basis ,to provide MIS report as per PFC guidelines and management requirement 21 Interacting with Process owner in developing maintaining Backup and Restoration policies/procedures22 To provide MIS report as per agreement.
