The candidate should be well-versed in trademark law and have a track record of successfully handling trademark-related matters. The primary responsibilities of the Trademark Attorney will include:Trademark Prosecution: Prepare and file trademark applications with the relevant trademark offices, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines. Respond to office actions and correspondence from trademark examiners.Trademark Oppositions and Hearings: Represent clients in trademark opposition proceedings, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, preparing evidence, and presenting arguments before trademark authorities. Handle all aspects of trademark hearings and negotiations.Trademark Portfolio Management: Assist clients in developing and managing their trademark portfolios. Conduct trademark clearance searches to identify potential conflicts and advise clients on the availability and registrability of trademarks. In-depth understanding of different stages in a suit of civil nature Drafting of various documents like various legal notices, pleadings, written statements etc.Meeting involved parties and interviewing them to build a strong caseMeeting witnesses and taking statementsSetting up communication with the opposing party's lawyersSetting up communication with the courtFiling motions, required documents and briefsNegotiating settlements with the opposing party's lawyersArguing the case before Supreme Court, High Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, DRT, DRAT, NGT, etc.
