Job description

1) Prepare patients for procedures: involves explaining procedures to patients, positioning them on

the imaging table, and making sure they are comfortable and properly shielded from radiation.

2) Operate imaging equipment: To use x-ray machines, computed tomography (CT) scanners,

magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines, and other types of imaging equipment to create

images of the body. Adjust the equipment to produce the best possible images and ensure the

safety of patients and themselves from radiation.

3) Analyze images: analyze images to ensure that they are of high quality and to capture all

necessary information. To liaise with physicians or other healthcare professionals to interpret the

images and make diagnoses.

4) Maintain equipment: responsible for maintaining imaging equipment, ensuring that it is clean,

properly calibrated, and in good working order. Also order supplies and perform routine

maintenance.

5) Record patient information: record patient information, such as medical history and test results,

in electronic health records (EHRs).

6) Follow safety procedures: to minimize radiation exposure to themselves and their patients.

7) Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
