we are seeking a highly skilled and proficient wordpress developer to join our team. the ideal

candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining wordpress websites

with a strong focus on performance, functionality, and user experience. you should have

expertise in wordpress themes, plugins, and custom coding, along with an eye for design and

detail.

key responsibilities

design, develop, and maintain wordpress websites, themes, and plugins.

customize existing themes and plugins to meet business requirements.

ensure website performance optimization (speed, responsiveness, and scalability).

integrate third-party apis, payment gateways, and other external services.

troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.

collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to implement web

projects.

stay updated with the latest wordpress trends, tools, and technologies.

conduct regular website testing, backups, and updates.

maintain strong documentation for custom solutions and workflows.

requirements

proven experience as a wordpress developer (portfolio required)

strong knowledge of php, html5, css3, javascript, and jquery.

experience with page builders (elementor, wpbakery, gutenberg, etc.).

proficiency in wordpress theme and plugin development/customization.

understanding of mysql databases and website hosting environments (cpanel, vps,

etc.).

familiarity with seo best practices and website performance optimization.

knowledge of version control tools (git/github).

ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

preferred qualifications

experience with woocommerce, lms, or membership sites.

knowledge of rest api and headless wordpress setups.

familiarity with modern frameworks (react, vue, ) is a plus.

prior experience in working within an agency or fast-paced environment.
