Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Planning & Delivery

Plan, prepare and deliver lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum standards.

Develop engaging and differentiated learning programs.

Use evidence-based teaching strategies.

Incorporate cross-curriculum priorities and general capabilities.

2. Assessment & Reporting

Design and implement formative and summative assessments.

Moderate student work according to SCSA guidelines.

Provide accurate reporting to parents and caregivers.

Analyse student performance data to inform instruction.

3. Student Support

Cater for diverse learning needs, including EAL/D and students with disabilities.

Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) where required.

Maintain positive classroom management and student wellbeing.

4. Professional Responsibilities

Engage in ongoing professional learning.

Participate in curriculum development and school improvement planning.

Collaborate with colleagues in learning areas and year levels.

Comply with policies of the WA Department of Education and SCSA.

5. Compliance & Standards

Maintain teacher registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.

Adhere to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

Follow child protection and duty of care obligations.

Selection Criteria

Essential

Recognised teaching qualification.

Current TRBWA registration.

Demonstrated knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum.

Strong classroom management skills.

Ability to differentiate instruction.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

Experience with ICT integration.

Experience in moderation processes.

Knowledge of inclusive education strategies.
