Job Description

The VMC Setter will be responsible for setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to ensure the smooth production of parts according to specifications.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Machine Setup:** Prepare VMCs for operation by installing and adjusting tools, fixtures, and workpieces to ensure accurate machining processes.

- **Quality Control:** Monitor the machining process and inspect finished products to confirm they meet quality standards and specifications.

- **Program Management:** Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to understand machining requirements and make necessary program adjustments.

- **Tool Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to keep them in optimal working condition and minimize downtime.

- **Collaboration:** Work closely with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot production issues and optimize manufacturing processes.

**Required Skills and Expectations:**

Candidates should have 4 to 7 years of experience in a similar role, showcasing expertise in operating VMCs. An . certification is essential, with a deep understanding of machining processes, tooling, and machine operations. The ability to read technical drawings and make precise measurements is crucial. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills and a commitment to safety in the workplace are also expected. As the role is full-time and office-based, residency in Chinnavedampatti or nearby locations is preferred.
